DU Main Library and Westminster Law Library provide our faculty with legal authority and scholarly materials from over 400 databases. Faculty may access many but not all the databases from home. It depends on the symbols next to the name of the database. To access these databases, you need to use the links provided on the A-Z Database list or use the library's search platform.

If the symbol  appears next to the name in the A-Z list or database in the library's discovery system, it is a law school database and you can access it remotely if you are a DU faculty member.  You need to use our proxy server.  To access the proxy server, you must click on the link from our website. You should be directed to a sign-in screen that asks for your Pioneer ID and password.  You will then have access to the database remotely.

Some law school databases, such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberglaw, are subscription based and accessible remotely with your user ID and password.

If the symbol  appears next to the name, it is a DU Main Campus database and you are only able to access it from an Andersen Academic Commons computer terminal, a requirement of the license agreement.  Check-in at their circulation desk for a temporary ID and password.

If the symbol  appears, it is a free web resource.
